Linda mawle Specialist paediatric Physiotherapist

About Us

Active Dreams Physiotherapy is dedicated to the health and well being of children and adolescents.  We understand that many paediatric conditions can be complex and therapy confusing, so we will work with you as families to answer any questions that you have.

Active Dreams is located in Hednesford, Staffordshire and aims to provide high quality specialist children's physiotherapy to families within Staffordshire and the West Midlands.  However, please contact to discuss our availablilty to travel to other areas of the country.

Active Dreams was established by Linda Mawle, a specialist children's physio in 2009.  Linda qualified from the University of the West Of England with a BSc(hons) in Physiotherapy in 1999. She has specialised in paediatric physiotherapy since 2001 and has worked in Staffordshire with many children with wide ranging conditions since that time.  Raised in the West Midlands Linda is happy to be working back in the area she calls home and fulfilling a long standing ambition to provide therapy for children in the community.

Linda formed Active Dreams because she recognised that sometimes parents require a prompt tailormade service.  She strongly believes that children need to be assessed and treated by a specialist children's physiotherapist.

Linda is a current member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is registered with the Health Professions Council.

FAQs

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM A DOCTOR?

No, a doctor or other health professional may have suggested physiotherapy or it may be purely your opinion as a parent but no formal referral is required to access the service.  It doesn't matter if you have a formal diagnosis for your child or just general concerns.  Usually the sooner the input the sooner your child's needs can be met.

MY CHILD ALREADY HAS AN NHS PHYSIOTHERAPIST, CAN I STILL ACCESS YOUR SERVICE?

Yes.  We will aim to work closely with the professionals already involved with your child as long as you desire us to do so.  However, your child has the right to receive NHS physiotherapy regardless of any private therapy undertaken.

HOW DO I KNOW IF PHYSIOTHERAPY IS APPROPRIATE FOR MY CHILD?

We will initially discuss your child's condition and difficulties with you by phone.  If we feel it is appropriate we will then need to meet your child and complete an assessment.  Following this, a decision on whether physiotherapy is appropriate will be made.

WHERE WILL MY CHILD BE SEEN?

Either at your home or the child's school or nursery.  However, for the initial assessment a person with parental responsibility will need to be present.

WHAT ARE OUR FEES?

Initial assessment & advice  £60
